Cameron's Senior Portraits | Arroyo Grande Sports Complex | Henderson Portrait Photographer

I've had the pleasure of photographing some beautiful ladies recently, but it was a nice change of pace photographing this handsome guy for his senior portraits. As the mother of boys, I am very used to their energy. I hadn't met Cameron before this photo shoot, but I have known his mom, Carolyn, for several years and she is one awesome lady! We met up at Arroyo Grande Sports Complex pretty early on a Sunday morning, hoping that the wind wouldn't be a problem as it had been very windy several days that week. It kicked up here and there, but I had enough time to get some good shots in.

We found this cool new bridge and although it's not quite finished yet, we were rebels and used it anyways. Shhhhh!

As I was taking the above shots with the palm trees, Carolyn was checking out this area and thought it would be pretty cool for photos. Cameron didn't realize at first that she wanted him to stand on the board over the water! She said, "Don't worry, if you fall in I'll wash your shoes!" Lol!
She was right. It did make for some very cool photos...

 And he didn't fall in!

These ones make him look like he's on top of the world!

I saw this wash/drainage area and thought it would be pretty cool too. I loved the lighting in there and it made for some of my favorite photos of the day.

And then we trekked through the water to the other side to get to this tree. I almost fell on my @$$ (with my camera hand!) and my shoes got hella soggy and then we had to do a little climbing, but I think it was definitely worth it to get these shots.

A couple last shots with some chain link and that was a wrap!

After these photos were taken, Cameron went and cut off all his hair. :-(  I'm glad he kept it for the photos!
Thanks for an awesome time, Cameron (and Carolyn)!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sandra and Brandy's college graduation portraits | University of Nevada, Las Vegas | Las Vegas portrait photographer

I was so happy to be asked to take some college graduation portraits for Sandra and Brandy. I have known both of these girls for several years, before they even started at UNLV. I have watched them mature into the beautiful, strong, intelligent women that they are and have seen their friendship blossom as well. (Brandy was Sandra's bridesmaid when she got married back in September....and I was fortunate enough to be her wedding photographer!)

I had only been on the UNLV campus once before but had never explored it. It is a beautiful campus with many great areas for taking photos. We did this shoot on a Saturday morning and had the campus (mostly) to ourselves!

Look at this beautiful graduate-to-be!

Sandra suggested this area. She said it reminded her of Mexico. :-)

It is rare to see Brandy not smiling! (Or laughing!)

We stopped here to snap a couple shots since Sandra is going into social work, which is all about justice.

And of course had to get some with the Rebel statue! Love it!

I think Hey Reb was thrilled with all the attention!

I love these shots of Sandra in her turquoise shirt with the red tree. <3

There's just something about this one I love. And she is just so darn adorable.

 Stunning in Rebel Red!

And I just love this rare pensive shot of Brandy.

 A little sassy!

And then we had some fun in the library...

Note the title on the book...A Long Bright Future...

 Wearing her sorority letters.

We found these little red UNLV pillars on the way out of the library.

Brandy had to run to work, so Sandra and I took a few more shots.

The college within the college that Sandra will be graduating from.
And another side of the building where she spent much of her time.

I had a blast photographing you around the UNLV campus, Sandra and Brandy. I am so happy for you both and proud of you too!

xoxo
